Viewers have the rare opportunity to hear directly from a victim of a husband’s narcissistic behavior toward her. Tina Swithen, who has authored a book series, Divorcing a Narcissist, tells it like it wasGlass invites Swithen to tell the story of her 7-1/2-year marriage to her narcissistic husband. She does. She shares how, after trying to make her way through the family courts with a host of insurmountable obstacles, she set out to help others at the effect of a narcissistic partner. Her blog, “One Mom’s Battle” (which Christie Brinkley follows) has helped hundreds and her work is ongoing. Swithen lets the viewer in for a first-hand account and offers some sage advice.

Tina Swithin

Tina Swithin is the author of Divorcing a Narcissist (series), founder of One Mom’s Battle, and creator of Family Court Awareness Month. She is also a founding member of the National Safe Parents Organization. Tina Swithin acted as her own attorney in a custody case that spanned a decade and during this time, her children were repeatedly placed in harm’s way. Tina was successful in terminating her ex-husband’s parental rights and while she is considered one of the “lucky ones,” for anyone to hear her story and label her this way speaks volumes about the brokenness of the system. Tina works to raise awareness of the issues in the family court system while simultaneously educating and empowering those experiencing post separation abuse and institutional betrayal.
