Interval House Crisis Center Operations Director, Christine Delabre, takes Host Glass and the viewers behind the scenes to understand the step-by-step process of entering a shelter and what to expect as they work through the process of gaining strength and support for permanently getting out of an abusive relationship. Offering services since 1979, offers its services world-wide. Delabre explains why the Center has become a “model” for other shelters throughout the country. She also tells Glass that many of those they have rescued go on to become “advocates” and “give back” as speakers, support systems for others and to help affect change. Glass’s questions are comprehensive and specific as he gets Delabre to share her vast experience in the field of abuse victim shelter assistance.
