He may be hard rock, but he has a soft heart. Legendary vocal solo artist and co-founder of the American Hard Rock band XYZ, Terry Ilous is part of the award-winning Grammy supergroup “Legends of Classic Rock,” and ex-lead singer of the iconic group, GREAT WHITE. He has shared the stage with such music luminaries as AC/DC, Guns n’ Roses, Stevie Wonder, Mariah Carey, David Bowie, Rod Stewart, Ozzy Osbourne, Foreigner, Soundgarden, Ted Nugent and Alice Cooper. He recently co-wrote four new singles for the film, “Rock Bottom,” starring Jake Bongiovi (Bon Jovi’s son). Terry Ilous takes Host Glass behind the harsh lights and loud guitars of sold-out concerts and into his most optimistic and poignant look at love.

Former psychologist turned family law attorney, Glass has a wonderful way of getting Ilous to open up. Ilous, who moved to the U.S. from his native town of Lyon, France in 1984, shares his experience with two marriages and two divorces. He tells Glass that his second divorce has been ongoing for seven years, but as it unwinds it is doing so in a very amicable way. (Ilous and his former wife share a daughter and continue to co-parent as they support one another every step of the way.) Pointedly, Ilous talks about love in general—the different variations of it, and how important it is for every person to experience it. He also talks about his connection to his audience during every concert appearance, and how what he is feeling while performing on stage is his focus, and how much he enjoys the immediate feedback he gets from it. His work has reached the Billboard charts. He has toured worldwide. He is living one musical journey after another. And, he isn’t about to slow down. His philosophies clearly offer an uplifting look at the future for all TheHourGLASS viewers. It is likely an episode to watch more than once.
