Bucky Heard and Bill Medley, of the acclaimed, blue-eyed soul Righteous Brothers, talk about their music, their working relationship and much more. Medley, who began writing songs as a kid, touches on some of his career highlights as both a performer and songwriter. He talks about going out on his own after long-time partner, Bobby Hatfield passed way. It was 13 years before he tapped Bucky Heard to join him. In this interview, Medley recounts some of the highlights of his 60-year career, during which he has had hit after hit and managed to win: A Grammy, an Oscar, a Golden Globe and an American Music Award. And, when Billy Joel inducted the Righteous Brothers into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003, he did so with a 7-minute speech! Hatfield and Medley took on solo careers in 1968, but reunited in 1974. A bit more backstory: When Hatfield passed away in ’03, Bill embarked on a solo career until he discovered Bucky Heard. He knew he would be a perfect match to recreate the “Righteous Brothers.” Bucky is a well-rounded rock and roll singer in his own right. He has been named “Male Vocalist Of the Year” by a number of entertainment trades and and rocked his way through America with his 10-piece horn band. He’s shared the stage with many legends, like Glen Campbell and Andy Williams, and is recognized for his incredible vocal range and impressive resume. Bucky says working with Bill been a “gift”–that Bill motivates him to be his very best. Bucky has written an original children’s musical variety show called, “Rock U Mentally,” and both are in the midst of new projects, which they touch on with Host Glass. A bit more background: “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin,’” is the most played song in American radio history! Bill’s song “Dirty Dancing,’s” “Time of my Life” sold 32-million copies. The dynamic duo continue their Las Vegas residency at the South Point Hotel and a vigorous tour schedule.
